Miyako Restaurant

2863 Kalakaua Ave.
Honolulu, HI 96815

Restaurant Description:

Located in the New Otani Kaimana Beach Hotel, Miyako offers Japanese cuisine in traditional western style or Japanese tatami rooms, served by kimono-clad hostesses. The restaurant overlooks Sans Souci Beach and the sunset view is spectacular.
Fresh lobster is a specialty, and sake enthusiasts like the varied appetizer menu as well as the varied and surprisingly affordable kaiseki dinners.
Not to be missed is the Miyako-style steak, dredged in flour and cornstarch and then deep-fried and served on a sizzling platter with a ponzu-garlic sauce. Dishes are displayed with care and just the right amount of panache. "Miyako is a treasured favorite with Oahu residents and visitors alike," says Hotel-Rates.com.

Hana Hou!: "Hawaiian cooking techniques are melded with Japanese cuisine artistry at this lovely Waikiki restaurant."
