Hana offers an extensive and exotic selection of fresh fish from Japan. "The restaurant," says the management, "is tucked between Petaluma and Santa Rosa in Rohnert Park. Its central location and easy access from Interstate 101 make it an ideal destination for locals and visitors throughout Sonoma County and the Wine Country." With its clean lines and minimalist aesthetic, Hana is reminiscent of trendy Bay Area sushi spots. Hana is noted for its superb sushi: Rolls such as the Sake Kawa (grilled salmon skin, daikon sprouts, and pickled burdock root), New York (tobiko, cucumber and avocado) and Dragon (eel and avocado with shrimp tempura and daikon sprouts) are standouts. Another tasty dish is grilled ahi steak, served rare, with a creamy wasabi sauce. The salads, too, are delightful, says the San Francisco Chronicle, especially the cucumber sunomono with rice noodles, cucumbers and seaweed in the same tangy vinegar dressing.
